Our main event is open to all students! This day will be filled with a variety of activities to showcase different aspects of engineering. The day will begin with a ‘Speed Engineering’ activity where students can talk to engineers from diverse array of disciplines.
Next up is the highlight event… a Design Challenge! Students will work in teams to design and build a structure to fit the requirements of the challenge set for them. Each design will be tested later in the day in front of the whole group.
Following a pizza lunch (provided for all participants and parents), you can participant in mini-engineering design activities or talk to the people at our showcase where you can learn about student groups and opportunities.
We look forward to seeing everyone for this fun-filled day learning about “What it means to be an engineer”! There will be opportunity to win prizes throughout the day!
Parental supervision is recommended, appropriately. We encourage participants to bring a water bottle as drinks will only be provided at lunch. There are water fountains throughout the school.
Special thanks to our sponsor: Ontario Power Generation.
